TRAVELING TO THE LAGOON

When fearlessness and science come together, Matt and Yorick – sorry, Matt and Dr. Jansson – make some amazing discoveries. This time, they find a big surprise – a path to the other side of Home Island. It seems we are not the first humans to encounter this land. We meet Johann, a peaceful hermit, who informs us that, as usual on the Archipelago, the approval of the spirits is required to gain possession of the territory. Your first goal is to find the Altar of the Lagoon.

The mosaics that once adorned the altar have disappeared over time, but the patterns on the structure resemble those we saw on the walls of the Ancient Temple. The temple on the home half of the island requires a more thorough examination. It’s clearly hiding something, but we can’t get inside without a special amulet. We could really use Matt’s help. We’ll send him in search of the amulet, but first let’s give him the items necessary for this expedition.

After receiving the crossing amulet, you can access the Secret Worlds. Their entrance is located in the temple. Pass the trials in the Secret Worlds and collect 30 stellar mosaic pieces in the first stage of the altar restoration.

The second stage of restoration will require another 50 mosaic pieces. But even that won’t be enough to activate the altar. It seems a powerful energy source is missing – the Heart of the Volcano. Let’s visit the Island of Blazing Rivers to get this artifact.

SERVING THE KRAKEN

After returning to the Lagoon, you can activate the altar. But instead of celebrating your victory, you are once again faced with betrayal. Johann turns out to be a servant of the Dark Kraken, an enemy of the Spirit of the Pacific Ocean. You could fight Johann, but he is immortal. After you talk to the wise shaman Taine, take Johann’s side to expose his weaknesses and protect the Archipelago from the evil Kraken. Because you supported his master, Johann grants you the Kraken’s Accomplice effect, which increases your energy cap by 10 for 7 days.

Johann wants to awaken his master, who is sleeping in the depths of the ocean. To do so, he needs to obtain 15 runes of awareness, which can be found in the Secret Worlds. You will have to explore the Mysterious Temple on your Home Island again.

When you complete this mission, Johann grants you the Kraken’s Acolyte effect, which increases your energy cap by 30 and speeds up your energy regeneration by 15%! He also tells you he had a conflict with the Kraken in the past, but he came to his senses in time and sold his soul to the evil spirit, gaining immortality in return. To learn all of Johann’s secret, keep collecting runes of awareness. You need 35 more runes. For helping collect runes, you get the more powerful Kraken’s Officer effect, which restores energy 30% faster and increases your energy cap by 50 for one week!

Now the Dark Kraken’s awakening is inevitable. But you have a chance to stop the spirit. In your last conversation, Johann mentioned that he used to live on the Island of the Lily Swamp. Perhaps you can find his soul if you visit that island.

FIGHTING THE KRAKEN

Thanks to Taine’s wise advice and your courage, you brought old Jürgen back to the right path. Now your only opponent is the Dark Kraken. First, destroy the Totem of Chaos, which fuels the evil spirit with energy.

After your powerful strikes, the totem shattered into tiny pieces! But from each piece, one of the Kraken’s tentacles sprung up. You’ll have to fight until all 10 tentacles are defeated.

The tentacles are gone, but now the Kraken himself is rising slowly from the depths. Your best chance of defeating him is to build a Dragon Seal in the Lagoon – this will give you the power of the Dragon of the Pacific Ocean in the coming battle! Bring Jürgen the construction materials.

The Dragon Seal is ready, and not a moment too soon – the Dark Kraken has risen to the Lagoon’s surface! Click on the Dragon Seal to make an offering of collectible items and receive the Power of Light effect. This effect will allow you to fully replenish your strength in your battle with the Kraken.

The tactics for fighting the Kraken are the same you use to battle other strong opponents. First, use regular attacks (water, fire, or nature) to reach at least Combo x2.

Once you’ve got a good combo, use all three of your stored artifacts in a row to deal major damage to the opponent. 

If your strength falls to 0, don’t accept defeat right away! If you still have some Power of Light left, you will be able to restore your strength in exchange for energy or diamonds. 

Defeat the great Kraken using the Power of Light and take back the Scale of the Dragon of the Pacific Ocean. Then place the scale into the Dragon Seal. This will rid the Archipelago of the Dark Kraken forever!

Free from the Dark Kraken’s nefarious influence, the Lagoon is now part of your Home Island!
